job codes

Owning a restaurant is a tough business. Not only do you have to worry about your customers, but you have to worry about your employees. Restaurant Pro Express Point of Sale is the choice of many restaurant owners for its extensive employee tracking. Not only does Restaurant Pro Express track hours and wages with a built in time clock, but we take it a step further with Job Codes.

Job Codes are used to set up many different types of responsibilities for any particular employee. For example, you may have an employee that may be a waiter one day and a cashier the next. Or you may assign someone to operate the grill one day and a cold food station the next. With Job Codes, you can assign different wages and jobs for each employee. When they clock in, it will prompt them to choose which job they are working that day.

  • With its vast number of reports, Restaurant Pro Express point of sale system, along with its Job Codes features will make your employee tracking a breeze.
  • Multiple Job Codes may be set up for each employee.
  • When the employee clocks in, they will be able to select which job they are working during that shift.
  • Employees may only select to work job codes assigned to them. For example, if Bob only has job codes CASHIER and JANITOR assigned to him, he may not log in as a COOK.
  • A shift report can be printed at the end of each shift. The printout displays necessary information such as the total amount of sales, breakdown by payment method, cash transaction details and an over or short amount.
    • Each job code has a few options associated with it:
    • Access to POS: Determines if the employee is allowed to ring up sales
    • Record Cash Tips: Designates whether or not this employee is required to report their cash tips at the end of their shift
    • Cash Bank: If the employee handles cash, enabling this option will prompt them for their starting and ending amounts.
    • # of Shift Reports: The number of shift reports that should be printed out at the end of their shift.
