A liquor store's main concerns are fast checkout, inventory control and age verification to ensure minors are not purchasing age-sensitive products. A typical point of sale system for a liquor store should include a computer, cash drawer, pole display, receipt printer and age verification bar code scanner. The pole display will inform your customers how much they are paying so they are likely to have the cash out quickly. An age verification bar code scanner aggressively scans bar codes that might be on bags or around bottles and quickly adds the item to the invoice, and can also be used to scan the bar codes on the back of the license to verify a customer's age.
